17th July 2019 Fantastic News for Dereham Church Infants and Nursery Scool

17th July 2019

Today was the last day for Year 2 children to go to Dereham Church Infants and Nursery School, and they were in good voice for their 'Leavers Service'. They made their 'goodbyes' as they go on their way to Junior schools, and bade 'farewell' to Sally, as she also moves on to pastures new.

Mrs. Futers, Head Teacher, then announced that they had received news of last week's 'SIAMS' inspection, just half an hour before the service, and that they had received an 'EXCELLENT' award! Having been awarded 'Outstanding' at the pre3vious inspection, which had created pressure to keep up their standards for last week's inspection, they needn't have worried, as they 'bounced up' to their new status. They are the first school in the Diocese to receive 'Excellent'!

Congratulations to you all! This award is very well deserved.

Mrs. Futers, Head Teacher of DCINS and Mrs Trish Waller, Chair of the Board of Governors for the school, celebrate the marvellous new of their SIAMS status of 'EXCELLENT'
