Revd. Sally introduced Molly and Elliott to the large congregation, before the Baptism service.
Following the signing of the cross onto their foreheads, Molly and Elliott were baptised with water by Revd. Sally.
Candles were lit from the Paschal candle, and given to each family. The congregation welcomed Elliot and Molly by applauding them, and Mothers Union Chair, Sheila Hanmer, (Church Warden), presented the gift of a book, on behalf of the Mothers Union.
During the service, children from the congregation participated in Revd. Sally's Pentecost talk, which involved them blowing up balloons and letting them go, to fly out over the congregation, to the delight of all. Other families enjoyed our lovely children's corner. Promises were made, hymns were sung, prayers were said, and the 'moving' service' concluded with a Blessing for all, as we left to go out into the glorious sunshine of the day.
We pray for Molly and Elliott, their parents and Godparents, as they begin their lifelong journey with God, in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
