Tuesday afternoons in Dereham: 'Sing for Lent'

Led by Gordon Barker (Tel: 850538) at Church House, Dereham Tuesdays 12th and 19th March and 2nd April, starting at 2.15pm to 3.15pm approx. and ending with refreshments. March 'Hymnsing' on 19th March forms a part of this. New material as well as familiar music will be introduced at each meeting. This is not designed for 'clever stuff'. All the music is congregational style.

 

Tuesday Evenings in Dereham: 'The Prophetic Voice of the Church'

Led by Canon Sally Theakston, (Tel: 693680) and hosted by Ruth and Roger Hodson at 27, Swanton Grove, Dereham, NR19 2HN (Tel: 692883). Tuesdays 19th, 26th March and 2nd and 9th April at 7.30pm.

Looking at the radical nature of the Gospel, with a special focus on the Church in South India; This ties in with the Diocesan Lent Appeal.

 

Wednesday Evenings in Shipdham: The Prophetic Voice of the Church

Led by the Revd's Doreen Fotherby (821481) and Gill Wells (822404) and hosted by Mrs. Rose Marsh, at 23 Park Highatt Drive, Shipdham, IP25 7LG. Wednesdays 13th, 20th, 27th March and 3rd and 10th April at 7.30pm

Thursday Afternoons in Swanton Morley  A Radical Gospel

Led by the Revd. James Rosie, (Tel: 637311) at The Vicarage, Woodgate Lane, Swanton Morley, NR20 4NS

Thursdays 14th, 21st and 28th March, and 4th and 11th April, starting at 2pm.

"We will be examining the Gospels in the light of many issues that affect society today: Human slavery, poverty and injustice, and faith in God in a changing world We will see where there is plenty of hope to be found and the part we have to play in addressing issues that affect us all.

There will be many opportuniteies to take part in Lenten activities, so keep a look out for details in the newsletter and on the website.
