Scarning Christmas Fair 3rd Dec 2016
This was a marvellous opportunity to get in the Festive Spirit at Scarning Village Hall, with many stalls and festive refreshments adding to the atmosphere.

St. Nicholas Christmas Fair 2016
3rd December 2016. The event was enhanced with Father Christmas arriving in a sports car driven by an elf! £800 was raised towards Church Funds.

Excellent participation by Dereham Beavers, Cubs and Scouts helped St. Nicholas Church to find out "Who is Jesus?"

Remembrance Sunday 13.11.16
Crowds gathered at the Dereham War Memorial, for a short Service of Remembrance, before Dereham Band led the procession of Dignitaries and Uniformed Personnel through the Market Place to St. Nicholas Church for the main Service of Remembrance, which was led by the Rector, Revd. Sally Theakston.

A special Day at Scarning. 12th Nov 2016
A Coffee morning, which raised £320, was followed later in the day by 'Autumn Serenade', a fantastic evening of entertainment, followed by a Fish and chip Supper, which ensured everyone left Scarning Church well fed and in good spirits.

Laying up of Standard
6th November 2016. The Parish Communion Service at St. Nicholas Church, Dereham, saw the Standard of the Royal British Legion, Norfolk, Women's Section presented to the church for safe-keeping.

Mothers Union: Anthea Aubrey Jones and Sheila Hanmer gave a talk about the Dereham and District visit to the Holy Land.

Shipdham Craft Fair
29th October 2016. Craft Fair and Coffee Morning with many stalls displaying beautiful items for sale, including art, needlework, cakes, pottery, woodcraft, knitted items, and so much more. The 'cafe' served wonderful, tasty refreshments.
