Bible Study Home Group

Meeting fortnighlty in one anothers' homes, we enjoy learning together from the Bible, using notes, DVD's and discussing questions to help us in our understanding. Sharing - in confidence - our thoughts,, and providing mutual encourageportant, are important elements of our time together. Prayer is incorporated within each session - with members participating out loud or in silence, according to individual preference.

Topics during the year have included two DVD study resources: 'Forever changed': people who met Jesus, (by Rob and Dianne Parsons), and 'There are no ordinary People' (by Jeff Lucas), as well as discussions around the Gospel accounts of the roles played by Judas Iscariot and Pilate, in bringing about the crucifixion of Jesus.

The group meets at 7.30pm, finishing with a time for relaxation, with drinks and biscuits between 8.30-9pm. Usually there are between four and nine of us meeting together. Individuals from the group take responsibility for facilitating each session - but only if they feel comfortable doing so - and with only the minimum of preparation expected, out of respect for busy lives!

WE WOULD LOVE FOR OTHERS TO JOIN OUR GROUP. We currently have members from the parishes of Dereham and Swanton Morley, and would welcome others from any of the parishes in this \benefice. Members of the group may be able to provide lifts where needed. Please feel free to contact us to find out when and where we are meeting each session. (Phone 07775 506 278).
